How much does a PetlyArt custom pet portrait cost?

Prices start at $24 USD for keepsakes such as mugs and keychains. Canvas pet portraits are $59 for 8" × 10", $79 for 12" × 16", $99 for 16" × 20" and $149 for 24" × 30". Framed memorial portraits are $89–$129, pillows $49–$59 and photo blankets $89–$119. Every size and price is listed on its product page, and US orders over $75 ship free.

How does PetlyArt work?

Four steps: 1) upload a clear photo of your pet and choose a product, art style and size; 2) pay securely by card — the on-screen preview shows photo placement only; 3) our artists hand-finish the artwork and email you a digital proof, usually within 24–48 hours; 4) you approve or request changes, and only then do we print and ship your keepsake. Nothing is printed before you approve.

What is PetlyArt?

PetlyArt is a custom pet art studio that turns your pet's photo into portraits, canvases, blankets, pillows, mugs and pet memorial keepsakes. We serve pet owners directly and also run an affiliate and referral partner program for vet clinics, groomers, pet cremation services and pet influencers.

How long does a PetlyArt order take to arrive?

You receive a digital proof in 24–48 hours (up to 3–5 business days at peak). After approval, canvas prints ship in 2–3 business days and blankets, pillows and mugs in 5–7 business days, plus delivery time for your country. Tell us your deadline and we will prioritise the order.

Which photo works best for a custom pet portrait?

One well-lit, in-focus photo taken at your pet's eye level, with the face clearly visible. Backgrounds do not matter — our artists remove them. Older or lower-resolution photos are usually fine for memorial pieces; if a photo truly cannot be used we tell you before printing.

Does PetlyArt offer refunds or revisions?

Yes. Revisions to your proof are free and unlimited before printing. If you are not happy with the proof we refund in full, and damaged or misprinted items are reprinted or refunded after delivery.

Does PetlyArt ship internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide through print-on-demand partners in the US, Europe and beyond. Shipping is free on US orders over $75; other regions are calculated at checkout.

Can businesses partner with or resell PetlyArt?

Yes. Our Partner Program is a zero-inventory referral and affiliate program for vet clinics, groomers, pet cremation services, rescues and pet creators: no stock, no minimums and no setup fee, with commission paid monthly and wholesale or co-branded options for higher volume.

Is the on-screen preview the final artwork?

No. The preview in the customizer shows photo placement, product, size and crop only — it is not the finished art. After you order, our artists hand-finish the portrait and email you the final artwork as a digital proof for approval. Nothing is printed until you approve that proof.

Can I use an old, small or blurry photo for pet memorial art?

Usually yes. Our artists repaint fur, eyes and edges by hand, so scans, phone photos from years ago and slightly soft images often work well — especially in painted and royal styles. Send the largest original file you have (not a screenshot). If the photo genuinely cannot carry a print, we tell you before printing and either suggest a different size or refund you.

What if I am not satisfied with my pet portrait?

Reply to the proof email and tell us what to change — colours, background, crop, collar, inscription or expression. Revisions before printing are free and unlimited. If we still cannot get it right, you get a full refund and we never print the piece. After delivery, damaged or misprinted items are reprinted or refunded.

What is the revision policy?

Unlimited free revisions on your digital proof before production. After you approve the proof and printing starts, the file is locked — changes then require a new order, because each item is made to order.

How fast is shipping and can I get it by a specific date?

Proof in 24–48 hours, then canvases ship in 2–3 business days and blankets, pillows and mugs in 5–7 business days. Typical delivery is 3–6 business days in the US and 5–12 business days internationally. How long does it take?

What photo should I use?

One clear, well-lit photo of your pet works best. Eye-level shots capture the most personality. Don't worry about background — our artists remove it.

Can I combine multiple pets?

Yes. Add a note at checkout or reply to your confirmation email with each pet's photo and we'll compose them into one portrait.

Do you ship internationally?

We ship worldwide. Free shipping on orders over $75 in the US, calculated at checkout for other regions.

What if I don't love it?

Our love guarantee: if you're not thrilled with your preview, we'll revise it — as many times as it takes — or refund you in full.

Can I request a memorial inscription?

Yes. Add your pet's name, dates, or a short phrase during checkout, or email memorial@petlyart.com.

Are your products made ethically?

Every product is printed on demand in small batches by partners we've personally vetted — no bulk warehouses, no waste.

How do I choose the right size?

Pick the size in the options above — each one lists exact dimensions. For wall art, we suggest 12" × 16" for a desk or shelf, 16" × 20" for a bedroom wall, and 24" × 30" for a living-room feature wall. For multiple pets, choose one size up so every face stays clear.

What materials do you use?

Canvases are gallery-grade fade-resistant cotton on solid wood frames. Blankets are ultra-soft washable fleece, pillows use plush covers with a hidden zip and insert, and mugs are food-grade ceramic with a scratch-resistant print.

How is my portrait created?

You upload a photo and set the layout, then our artists craft your chosen art style with detailed artwork processing and a human quality check. Files are prepared at 300 DPI print resolution before production.

What photo works best?

A bright, front-facing photo where your pet's face fills a good part of the frame, taken at eye level. Avoid heavy filters, motion blur, and dark backlighting. Files up to 5 MB in JPG or PNG work best — if a photo won't work, we'll ask you for another before printing.

Do I see a preview before printing?

Yes. You receive a free digital preview of the finished artwork and can request minor adjustments. Nothing goes to print until you approve it.

How long does delivery take?

Artwork preview in 1–2 business days, production in 2–4 business days after your approval, and shipping in 4–8 business days depending on your location. You'll get a tracking link by email, and you can also check progress on our order tracking page.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Yes — before you approve the preview, just reply to your confirmation email and we'll update the photo, style, text or size. Once approved and in production, custom pieces can no longer be changed.

Is my photo and data private?

Your photos are stored securely and used only to create your order. We never sell your data, and we don't use your pet's photo in marketing without your permission. Payments are handled by our PCI-compliant payment provider — we never see your card details.

Who can join the PetlyArt partner program?

Vet clinics, groomers, pet boarding and daycare, pet cremation and aftercare services, rescues and shelters, pet photographers, and pet influencers or content creators. There is no follower minimum — what matters is that you talk to pet owners who would value a custom portrait or a memorial keepsake.

How much commission can partners earn?

The standard rate is 15% of the product value of every referred order, tracked by referral link, discount code or QR card and paid monthly. Steady-volume partners such as clinics, crematoriums and creators can be moved to 20% or onto wholesale pricing with a co-branded landing page — ask when you apply. Shipping, taxes and refunded orders are excluded from commission.

How long does the affiliate tracking cookie last?

30 days. When someone clicks your referral link we set a first-party tracking cookie, so any order they place on petlyart.com within 30 days is credited to you — even if they come back later on the same device. Discount codes and QR cards are attributed for the life of the code, so in-store referrals are still tracked when a client orders from home.

How and when are partners paid?

Commission is paid by PayPal, monthly, within the first 10 days of the following month, once your balance reaches the $50 payout minimum (lower balances roll over). We pay after the order has shipped and passed the 14-day refund window, and you can see every referred order in your monthly partner statement. Bank transfer is available for wholesale partners.

Do partners need to keep inventory?

No. It is a zero-inventory program: no stock to buy, no minimum order, no setup fee. Every portrait and keepsake is produced on demand after the customer approves their artwork, and we handle printing and shipping directly to them.

What marketing materials do you provide for partners?

A tracked referral link, a client discount code, print-ready QR cards and counter cards for your reception desk, product photography and social-ready mockups, plus sympathy-appropriate wording for memorial conversations. Higher-volume partners can also get neutral packaging and a co-branded page.

Who handles customer service, artwork and refunds for referred orders?

PetlyArt does. We manage photo review, artwork, the proof approval email, production, delivery tracking, revisions and refunds, so your team never becomes support staff for an art order.

How do partners apply and get paid?

Fill in the application form on petlyart.com/affiliate-program or email partners@petlyart.com with your business type, location and roughly how many pet owners you serve each month. We reply within one business day with your tracked referral link, discount code, QR card and commission terms, then pay commission by PayPal each month once your balance clears the $50 payout minimum.
